Weldon C. Kennedy
Weldon C. Kennedy BIO
Born in 1935 in Haskell, Texas, Weldon Kennedy was from a family of Christians who loved to sing hymns in a cappella style. He attended church singing schools, began to play brass instruments in the school band and was just generally enamored with music. He studied music theory at Abilene Christian College (it was called then) and writes both spiritual music and secular music for voices and for musical instruments. His first love, though, is the writing of hymns, the lyrics as well as the music.
