Katha was born and raised in Sherman, Texas, where she sang in school choirs and various ensembles. She was originally a music major, but later received a B.A. from San Diego State University in English. She attended graduate school at Abilene Christian University. For several years, she was employed as a classical music editor at a publishing company. Her early music inspiration was her grandfather, who taught at singing schools. Katha has sung our national anthem for the MLB, NBA and the NFL. She once sang in a quartet for the millennium tour at the White House during the holiday season. She has written devotional articles for Power for Today since 1994, and resides in San Diego, CA.
