Robert J. Taylor, Jr. is a music minister for the churches of Christ, and since his retirement from a major oil company has dedicated himself to improving and preserving congregational singing. Since 1986 he has logged more than 400,000 miles in travels, searching out the authors and stories behind the hymns we sing. This “Grass Roots Hymnology” has lead to the writing and publishing of several books on hymn stories.
Taylor Publications was established 1988 to promote and distribute these hymn story products, but as time and opportunity presented itself, it was expanded to include other products related to church music and worship. The objective has always been to improve and preserve congregational singing. Taylor Publications has become the number one resource for accappella recordings of religious hymns, for hymnals and for Power Point presentation software to project music and words.
